Koguryo is a large nation in the geographic center of the Kingdom of the Winds. The nation was founded by King Tongmyong Wang, who was succeeded by his son [[Yuri]](myong). The Capitol of Koguryo is the City of [[Kugnae]], a large, sprawling city. However, as compared to the large commercial nation of [[Buya]], the population of Kugnae and of Koguryo as a whole is relatively low.

Since the early 20s, King [[Yuri]] had delegated most of his authority to his second son, Prince-Regent Mu-hyul. The Prince dealt with all day to day policy, while the King appeared only for ceremonial duties. On the eve of his 83rd year of reign, however, the King died of natural causes, and Mu-hyul was crowned as King of Koguryo. Much of the actual management of Koguryo's affairs is actually in the hands of the [[Royal Tribunal of Koguryo]]. The King's office is divided into two sections, the [[Royal Ministry of Koguryo]], led by Royal Minister [[Vales]] and the [[Royal Koguryian Army]]. The [[Royal Ministry of Koguryo]] sees to cultural and diplomatic matters within the Kingdom while the [[Royal Koguryian Army]] deals with defense and military matters.

There are six Great [[Clan]] Familes within Koguryo, the [[Sun Moon Sect]], [[Bear Clan]], [[Enigma Clan]], [[Oceana Clan]], [[Destiny Clan]] and [[Tiger Clan]] (oldest to youngest). The clans were created by the King and the [[Royal Tribunal of Koguryo]] and thus are loyal to both the King and His Tribunal.

Five [[subpaths]] reside within Koguryian borders. The [[Chongun]], [[Diviner]], [[Merchant]], [[Monk]], and [[Spy guild|Spy]] subpaths are given significant autonomy, however they do occassionally pledge fealty and give some small tribute to the King.

Koguryo is a member of the [[Tri-Kingdom Alliance]], along with the Principality of [[Nagnang]] and Empire of [[Buya]]. It also maintains a tenuous peace with the Ogre Kingdom within its lands, though many Ogres and humans battle in the caves of [[Hamgyong Nam-Do]], and humans are rarely if ever allowed into the hidden ogre city of [[Ja-gook]].

Koguryo also maintains several older agreements with the Empre of [[Buya]], including the [[Buya-Koguryo Peace Treaty]] and the [[Buya-Koguryo Alliance]], both created following the [[Buya-Koguryo War]] of Yuri 26.

[[Kugnae]] is the capital city of the country of [[Koguryo]]. [[Kugnae]] is the largest city in size in [[NexusTK]], but not in population. (the first being [[Buya]]). Though not as popular as the larger city (or perhaps because of it), [[Kugnae]] is a very enjoyable place to live, being the older of the two large cities. [[Kugnae]] can be selected as a starting location for new players. [[Kugnae]]'s gates lead many places. The northern gate leads to the south-east section of the [[Wilderness]]. The eastern gate leads to [[Dae Shore]]. The southern gate leads past the [[Graveyard]], in to [[Southern Koguryo]] and eventually [[Nagnang]].

Kugnae is home to the [[Sun Moon]] Clan, [[Bear]] Clan, [[Enigma]] Clan, [[Oceana]] Clan, [[Destiny]] Clan and [[Tiger]] Clan. It is also home to the [[Merchant]] Subpath and the [[Diviner]] Subpath.

= Legend of the Sun Moon Sect =

In the beginning there was darkness, and then the stars were created. The radiant light of the stars filled the darkness. Nestled among the stars was a land surrounded by magic and mystery. This land was called the Nexus. Watching over this mythical land was the Sun god, Rokol. He provided light to protect the Nexus from darkness. Beside him was his beautiful wife, the Moon goddess, Igarashi. With her power she provided the lands with life, protection and peace. Together, they cared and watched over the Nexus with love and devotion. But everything does not end with a happy ending. From out of the darkness came a great evil. Krakis, the harbinger of death arrived to destroy all that was within his sight. Everything that is good and full of life. However, Rokol decided that it was his mission to destroy Krakis, so he told his wife and went forth after Krakis. Igarashi warned her husband of Krakis' powers but he knew what he had to do. Rokol soon encountered Krakis but his evil was too strong, his first hit almost killed the Sun god! Krakis fired again but before Rokol could respond Igarashi jumped in front of him protecting her husband. The shot mortally wounded the beautiful Moon goddess. Rokol knew there was nothing he could do to help his dying wife. Finally when death was near, Igarashi said in her final words to him, that he must go forth and kill Krakis. But to do this he must go on a quest to find each of their eight children who each carried a key to bring back the light. She had hid each of their children around the world so that the darkness would never find them. Each child held a piece of the light of the moon and when all eight were brought together Igarashi would return from the great void of darkness that is death. Rokol promised to do so, and just then Igarashi took her last breath. From then on Rokol has looked down on the earth in search of his children so that his dear wife will return and darkness will be destroyed.

Genji, a dedicated follower of Rokol soon after joined the Sun god's followers to resists evil and fight the darkness that is Krakis. The Sun Moon Sect is a group of followers united under the Sun and Moon to protect the Nexus and follow the Sun god Rokol. Since these united followers joined under a single cause the leader of the clan has knighted special men and women who have pure hearts and follow this universal cause with a strong and powerful will. These heroes are given the title of "Celestials" and lead the cause to empower the light, and banish darkness FOREVER!

= Facts =
* SunMoon Clan is one of the three original Clans (SunMoon, Heavens & Bear).
* It maintains the longest serving Primogen, Primogen Khaos.
* Its clan mascot is Tapi the Tiger.
* It has one of the largest halls in the Nexus.
* Their hall resides upon the smallest island in Koguryo (170,170), reachable by crossing Lady Kiyone Bridge (the longest bridge in Kugnae).
* Before moving to the Palace of Kugnae, Royal Tribunals were held within SunMoon Clan Hall.
* The title of "Celestial" is a great honour bestowed upon SunMoon Clan members by the Primogen. It is given to those who have spent time on the clan council and given years of service to the clan.

= Legend of the Sun Moon Sect =

In the beginning there was darkness, and then the stars were created. The radiant light of the stars filled the darkness. Nestled among the stars was a land surrounded by magic and mystery. This land was called the Nexus. Watching over this mythical land was the Sun god, Rokol. He provided light to protect the Nexus from darkness. Beside him was his beautiful wife, the Moon goddess, Igarashi. With her power she provided the lands with life, protection and peace. Together, they cared and watched over the Nexus with love and devotion. But everything does not end with a happy ending. From out of the darkness came a great evil. Krakis, the harbinger of death arrived to destroy all that was within his sight. Everything that is good and full of life. However, Rokol decided that it was his mission to destroy Krakis, so he told his wife and went forth after Krakis. Igarashi warned her husband of Krakis' powers but he knew what he had to do. Rokol soon encountered Krakis but his evil was too strong, his first hit almost killed the Sun god! Krakis fired again but before Rokol could respond Igarashi jumped in front of him protecting her husband. The shot mortally wounded the beautiful Moon goddess. Rokol knew there was nothing he could do to help his dying wife. Finally when death was near, Igarashi said in her final words to him, that he must go forth and kill Krakis. But to do this he must go on a quest to find each of their eight children who each carried a key to bring back the light. She had hid each of their children around the world so that the darkness would never find them. Each child held a piece of the light of the moon and when all eight were brought together Igarashi would return from the great void of darkness that is death. Rokol promised to do so, and just then Igarashi took her last breath. From then on Rokol has looked down on the earth in search of his children so that his dear wife will return and darkness will be destroyed.

Genji, a dedicated follower of Rokol soon after joined the Sun god's followers to resists evil and fight the darkness that is Krakis. The Sun Moon Sect is a group of followers united under the Sun and Moon to protect the Nexus and follow the Sun god Rokol. Since these united followers joined under a single cause the leader of the clan has knighted special men and women who have pure hearts and follow this universal cause with a strong and powerful will. These heroes are given the title of "Celestials" and lead the cause to empower the light, and banish darkness FOREVER!

King Yuri's [[Golden Jubilee]] was the celebration of the King's 50th year on the throne of [[Koguryo]]. The celebrations were a yuri long, taking place mainly on weekends. The event was hosted by Royal Peace Minister [[Muckish]] of Koguryo who led the joint Peace and Culture Ministries while Royal Culture Minister [[Anjos]] was ill.

For many this was the first time they had ever seen [[King Yuri]]. Throughout the year the celebrations were hosted by many of the subpaths and all of the Koguryian [[Clans]].

During Yuri 50, Minister [[Muckish]] held many events including a story contest, poetry contest and a treasure hunt. These event winners received prizes such as [[sevenleaf sword]] and [[flameblade]]. In total 7 sevenleafs were distributed. The first fresh set of sevenleafs since the days of the [[Shattering]].

Also for the purpose of celebrating Minister [[Muckish]] annouced that toys would be given out to the community as souvenirs. Thus, five types of [[wind toys]] were distributed by the [[Royal Palace of Kugnae]].

(June 16, 2002) King Yuri's [[Golden Jubilee]] came to a close this weekend, completing a series of events, competitions, and celebrations to mark 50 years of reign. [[King Yuri]] personally overlooked some of the events where citizens from all the surrounding kingdoms were able to win legendary weapons from [[King Yuri]]'s personal treasury.

Prince Mhul was once engaged to Princess Yun, however she disappeared whence the Evil Witch Mupa arrived in Koguryo with her husband, Prince Mhul's Uncle, Prince Sagu. Many believe Princess Yun was either killed or captured by the evil witch.

Around Y20, King Yuri found it difficult to lead his armies into battle and bestowed his second son, Prince Mhul with the title of Prince-Regent. With this title, Prince-Regent Mhul ruled almost in entirity while his father was unable to or ill.

The King of [[Koguryo]]. Ruled Koguryo for 82 years. Died on the eve of Yuri 83 (30 June 2006).

= Royal Family =

Brother to Prince Sagu, who was corrupted by the evil witch Mupa. King Yuri eventually ordered his brother to be captured into the Onyx, with the help of the Sea Nymph. Sagu was later released, through the shattering of this onyx the twelve subpaths were formed.

Father of two sons. His first son was killed, his second son Prince MuHyul (M'Hul) succeeded him as King of Koguryo in early Yuri 83 (07 July 2006).

Together, they cared and watched over the Nexus with love and devotion. But everything does not end with a happy ending. From out of the darkness came a great evil. Krakis, the harbinger of death arrived to destroy all that was within his sight. Everything that is good and full of life. However, Rokol decided that it was his mission to destroy Krakis, so he told his wife and went forth after Krakis. Igarashi warned her husband of Krakis' powers but he knew what he had to do. Rokol soon encountered Krakis but his evil was too strong, his first hit almost killed the Sun god! Krakis fired again but before Rokol could respond Igarashi jumped in front of him protecting her husband. The shot mortally wounded the beautiful Moon goddess. Rokol knew there was nothing he could do to help his dying wife. Finally when death was near, Igarashi said in her final words to him, that he must go forth and kill Krakis. But to do this he must go on a quest to find each of their eight children who each carried a key to bring back the light. She had hid each of their children around the world so that the darkness would never find them. Each child held a piece of the light of the moon and when all eight were brought together Igarashi would return from the great void of darkness that is death. Rokol promised to do so, and just then Igarashi took her last breath. From then on Rokol has looked down on the earth in search of his children so that his dear wife will return and darkness will be destroyed.

[[Kugnae]] is the capital city of the country of [[Koguryo]]. [[Kugnae]] is the largest city in size in [[NexusTK]], but not in population. (the first being [[Buya]]). Though not as popular as the larger city (or perhaps because of it), [[Kugnae]] is a very enjoyable place to live, being the older of the two large cities. [[Kugnae]] can be selected as a starting location for new players. [[Kugnae]]'s gates lead many places. The northern gate leads to the south-east section of the [[Wilderness]]. The eastern gate leads to [[Dae shore]]. The southern gate leads past the [[Graveyard]], in to [[Southern Koguryo]] and eventually [[Nagnang]].

Kugnae is home to the [[SunMoon Clan]], [[Bear Clan]], [[Enigma Clan]], [[Oceana Clan]], [[Destiny Clan]] and [[Tiger Clan]]. It is also home to the [[Merchant]] Subpath.
