Introduced during an event over Christmas and New Year's in 2000-2001, there was a great deal of confusion at first about this. At first, there were minions all over various regions of the kingdoms, centred around the [[Wilderness]]. A short while later, a temple appeared with even more minions and even more strange things inside. At one point [[Ming-Ken]], [[Ohaeng]], and [[Kwi-sin]] went to the various guildmasters and "settled the [[aethers]]" that had come from them. The people had no idea what was about to happen.

After this, when people wandered through the temple in the Wilderness, they were randomly asked questions about the [[alignment]]s. If you answered them correctly, you became devoted and a follower of that alignment. After the event, you simply need to go to the various temples and answer the questions. The Kwi-Sin temple is in the [[Arctic Village]].

Kwi-Sin is about the afterlife. They are not evil, or bad, or dark, but just specialize in knowing about the afterlife. This brings them to know and embrace what it means.

For [[rogue]]s, [[mage]]s, and [[poet]]s there are no obvious changes for becoming Kwi-Sin, apart from the general shortening of [[aethers]] on most [[spells]]. For [[warrior]]s, your [[whirlwind]] remains the same as if unaligned, bringing you to 10 [[vitality]].

Speaking with animals can be quite an accomplishment. However, not all animals are easy to understand. Since humans and dogs get a long well, it is no surprise that we can talk to them. Here is how to become a Dog linguist.

==The Quest==
Step 1: Say "Hello" to Mutt, who lives behind the top right tavern in Kugnae.<BR>
Step 2: Say "Bark!" back to him.<BR>
Step 3: Go to Buya's Eastern Gate and head south towards the [[Buya fox cave]].<BR>
Step 4: Say "Bark!" to Jindo.<BR>
Step 5: Say "Woof!" back to him.<BR>
Step 6: Go to Kugnae again, this time go outside [[Kugnae fox cave]].<BR>
Step 7: Say "Woof!" to the Hunting dog.<BR>
Step 8: Say "Grrowl!" back to him.<BR>
Step 9: Go to the Watcher's garden. This is in the very top left corner of Buya, on the outside of the wall.<BR>
Step 10: Say "Grrowl!" to the Spotted dog.<BR>

Congratulations! You have just learned how to speak with the dogs.

==What it allows you to do==
At [[Insight|insight]] 70 you can go to your path's dog and learn new [[Secret|secrets]] from them.

Ice beast quest

To begin the Ice Beast quest, you must be level 8.

[[Jadespear]] or [[Ironheart]] will send you to see [[Sonhi Blood|Blood]], who resides in [[KaMing's Encampment]] (who also allows you to get a [[Blood Oath]] with someone), who is said to be able to forge a weapon made out of ice.

When you get to Blood, ask him about the "Ice". An Ice Heart is required to forge the [[Frost Sabre]], which is obtained from an [[Ice Beast]]. He will tell you about the Ice Beast, and how it's semi-immortal in the fact that he is reborn every so often. Don't let this get you down, because remember: you're much smarter than both Blood and the Ice Beast.

Blood will ask for 100 coins to forge the sabre. Once you give it to him, he will laugh at you saying that he got an easy 100 coins.

Next, go to a potion shop and pick up a bottle of [[Aged Wine]] (150 coins), it'll be used in the next step.

Blood doesn't know where the Ice Beast resides, but fortunately we do! Go to [[Dae Shore]] (East of [[Kugnae]]), and once inside, go directly West to the very edge, where you'll see a bridge at the edge of the map. When you go in there, you'll be in [[Northern Koguryo]] - home of the Ice Beast!

On the Eastern side of the map, you'll see a moat of lava around an icy area, where you should see an Ice Beast (or sometimes two). How do you get across? That's where the Aged Wine comes in.

Talk to the Hermit that is at the Northwestern part of the map, and he'll ask if he can have your Aged Wine. If you agree to give it to him, he'll give you a pair of [[Traveling Shoes]] in exchange.

Now, to cross the lava, go to a spot where there's a little penninsula jutting out of the land, at the bottom, close to the Rock. You can cross there, and begin to hatch your plan of killing this beast.

Do something to grab his attention, then keep about 2-4 squares away from the beast, until you know he's following you (he'll sometimes say "I'm coming to eat you!"). Go back towards the path you took to come across the lava in the first place. When the Ice Beast tries to follow you there, he is consumed by the lava and dies, dropping his Ice Heart.

If you want to keep your Traveling Shoes, pick up the Ice Heart and immediately use Gateway to get out of there. If you cross back over to the land again, your shoes will burn up.

Go back to Blood's house in KaMing's Encampment, and give him the Ice Heart. Even though he's very surprised to see you alive, he will follow through in his promise to forge you a Frost Sabre.

You recieve 2300 experience and recieve the Frost Sabre, as well as a nifty [[Legend mark]], "Defeated the Ice Beast (Yuri ??, Season)".

== Ways To Advance Faster In A Craft ==

*If your clan has a crafting room, such as [[Sun Moon]], [[Dharma]], [[Silla]] or [[The Forsaken]], try to take advantage of it. These rooms normally have a bank [[NPC]] allowing you to craft without having to leave to acquire additional raw materials.
*Concentrate all of your crafting for a certain craft on one character -- for instance, don't do [[woodcutting]] on all four of your characters. Pick one character to be your woodcutter, and concentrate on that character. One exception to this is if you plan to do the [[Poet Sun Quest]].
