Marketplaces

A marketplace is an area located in each town that allows a player character to purchase a market booth in order to display their wares for sale to other players. There are also NPC vendors that allow 'Mass Exchange' function; a trade function that allows players to buy and sell large quantities of items in a single deal.

Originally, the Buy and Sell boards were only located inside the marketplaces, so there was always a constant stream of traffic through the markets. However, GM Kismet gave in to player pressure and made the Buy and Sell boards listed on the main boards, effectively making the market places ghost towns for many years.

It was not until the Merchant subpath began holding events inside the marketplaces did they once again become populated places of business again.
